Origin was showing its new Pro models of loudspeakers, available in similar form factors as to Sonance’s except the pendant is in a cylindrical shape rather than traditional teardrop. For outdoor options, the company built upon its Bollard speakers with the new Bollard Light model featuring MR16 lamp running on low voltage, with the 4-inch driver and 6-inch burial subwoofer. The company expanded the Bollard lineup with new larger sizes, featuring 6.5-inch downfiring, 360-degree drivers and 10-inch subwoofer that can get buried 12 inches down, with 70-volt/8-ohm tap.
The new Bollards don’t have lamps incorporated yet but it would seem the road map is headed that way. “Here’s the deal – everywhere there’s a speaker, there should be light,” says Origin founder Jeremy Burkhardt.
