Architectural loudspeaker specialist Origin Acoustics won the CEDIA EMEA 2016 Award for Best Innovative Product for its Director Collection of in-ceiling speakers. Reasons cited for the win include the ZipClip tool-less installation system and the DPSD Tweeter, used throughout Origin’s flagship line-up of in-ceiling speakers. Origin’s win was just one of many that went the way of distributor Invision UK. The company also won Best UK Trade Supplier and Best Training Initiatives. Nick Berry, Executive Vice President of Origin Acoustics, described the win as “mind-blowing,” adding: “In less than two years since the launch of Origin Acoustics at CEDIA 2015 in Denver, the brand has reached best-of-the-best acclaim in both domestic and international CEDIA markets.
