Origin Acoustics took its original Bollard Loudspeaker design and super-sized it with the new Bollard XL. The company is introducing at CEDIA 2019 a full line-up of 70v Professional Grade Pendant Loudspeakers and a 70v Professional Grade Loudspeakers.
Origin Acoustics Bollard XL
With the Bollard XL, Origin took the original Bollard’s poly/rubber subwoofer and increased it from 6.5 inches to 10 inches, and the satellite portion. It is now a full 6.5-inch two-way loudspeaker.
The efforts of these separate portions are combined seamlessly within a heavy-duty powder-coated Aluminum Bollard Enclosure. The sound is then distributed in either 360 or 180 degrees, depending on the choice of acoustic lens.
The Bollard and Bollard XL’s design tackles the challenge of producing bass response from individual outdoor speakers in a very attractive aesthetic. Each Bollard has its own sub in the base of each enclosure. Burying the sub base in the ground, the larger portion of the enclosure is hidden from sight.
Available in three standard colors – Silver, Black, or Bronze – these loudspeakers put out tremendous volume with amazing fidelity.
Professional Pendant Loudspeaker Series
Origin is also launching four unique professional pendant models (pictured above). Each are fully enclosed in a heavy-duty black or white plastic cabinet with modern cylindrical styling.
Each model features low-end enhancing rear-facing passive woofers, pivoting Silk DPSD tweeters, active injection molded poly/rubber woofers, and a heavy-duty premium 70v transformer with optional 8-ohm bypass.
They are UL 1480 and 2239 certified and ready for commercial installations. Available in 5-, 6.5-, and 8-inch 2-way configurations plus an 8-inch subwoofer.
Professional Bayonet Pendant

At CEDIA 2019, Origin Acoustics brings the refined sound of the Director Collection to the world of commercial installation with our Professional Bayonet Pendant.
By utilizing the Director Collection’s unique tool-less mounting system, the company has produced a UL-listed Pendant Shell that is capable of hosting any one of Origin’s 25 different 6- and 8-inch Director loudspeakers, as well as optionally convert them to 70v.
By forgoing the typical tear-drop shape, Origin increased the overall volume of the enclosure without increasing the relative size.
Professional Ceiling Loudspeaker Series
With more than a year spent in development, Origin’s 70v Professional Grade collection will launch with four different professional ceiling models. Each model is fully enclosed in powder-coated aluminum back cans and feature pivoting Silk DPSD tweeters, injection molded poly/rubber woofers, slotted reflex bass ports, black or white low-profile grilles, and a heavy-duty premium 70v transformer with optional 8-ohm bypass.
Origin Acoustics PC80
Origin’s Silk Dual Plain-Stabilized Tweeter was used for all models in this collection. Its lower crossover point means that the company can reduce the demand on the woofer, and in turn increase bass response without sacrificing mid-range clarity. The upgraded tap allows for flexibility in loudness or amplifier usage, and the easy-to-use dial is located on the front of the baffle.
These in-ceiling models are complemented by a full array of pendant and on-wall loudspeakers, all sonically matched. They are UL 1480 certified and ready for commercial installations.
